Michelle Kominas

Michelle serves as Manager, Corporate Relations at United Way of Greater Houston (UWGH). As one of the largest United Ways in the U.S. by community campaign revenue, UWGH is a leader and trusted partner in improving lives, tackling critical community social issues, and making a lasting difference.

Michelle, who is based out of the UWGH Montgomery County Center, is responsible for optimizing relationships within our corporate campaigns to create strategies that fit partners’ Corporate Social Responsibility goals. In addition, she leads the UWGH outreach and visibility efforts in Montgomery County.

Michelle calls The Woodlands home with her husband Charlie and his three children. She gives back to the community having served on several boards including the Executive Women’s Alliance and Leadership Montgomery County. In addition, she shares the work of local nonprofits through her involvement with the Woodlands and Conroe Chambers of Commerce and through her many volunteer activities. She is a proud graduate of Leadership Montgomery County Class of 2011 and member of the second Leadership Montgomery County Master Class of 2024.

Michelle graduated from the University of Nebraska, where she attended on an athletic diving scholarship. Go Cornhuskers! She still loves to compete against herself and has enjoyed staying active by participating in local endurance competitions.
